The ASA has a wide range of digital resources for sale or download in our Resources section. Member Advice Service

Our experienced team is able to offer individual and professional advice on any query you might have about the book industry in Australia: getting published, agents, copyright, royalties, rates of pay, rights reversion, marketing and promotion, and everything in between. No question goes unanswered.

Due to the volume and complexity of the enquiries we receive, we ask you to please submit your query using this online form and we will get back to you within 3-5 working days. If your query is urgent, please let us know and we will do our best to respond sooner.

This free service is only available to ASA members.

Publishing Consultation

The ASA offers members access to a Publishing Consultancy Service, a one-on-one consultation with an industry expert who can provide you with tailored advice about any aspect of the publishing industry. This service is ideal for those who are looking for someone to help guide them through key career decisions, taking into account all of their unique circumstances as a creator.

Legal Advice

The ASA has launched a unique legal advice service available exclusively to ASA members. Authors Legal is a non-profit law firm, providing low-cost legal advice on all publishing, agent, and distribution agreements, along with advice on copyright and contractual issues facing authors and illustrators.
